Students from Livingston Manor and Roscoe came together on Tuesday, May 27, to help support the transition and build community for the new Rockland Central School District. That morning, pre-kindergarten through second grade students from Livingston Manor traveled to the Roscoe building as sixth through 11th grade students in Roscoe went to Manor for a morning of games, tours, meet-and-greets and activities. The younger students were grouped by grades and completed four different activities: signing a Rockland Elementary banner and coloring; meeting with their pen-pals; team building games; and building and classroom tours. The older students were separated by grades as they took building tours, met the staff and took part in several team-building activities in the old gym, including a form of minesweeper, working together to build a path, and a quiz on the new district. The third through fifth graders will have an opportunity to meet at a later date. #BetterTogether #BetterTomorrow
