Tuesday, May 17, is set to be a busy day at Roscoe Central School.

  • The main event will be the annual school budget vote and school board election. Voting will be from noon to 8 p.m. in the gymnasium. For more details on the budget, see https://www.roscoe.k12.ny.us/page/roscoe-central-school-budget-2022-23.

  • The Class of 2024 will host a takeout chicken barbecue in the cafeteria from 3 to 6:30 p.m. Tickets are required and are available from members of the class, by emailing jfrance@roscoe.k12.ny.us or by visiting the Roscoe Diner.

  • The chairs for the senior chair auction will also be on display and available for bidding in the cafeteria at that time. Three seniors have cleaned, primed, designed and painted chairs for the auction. Proceeds will go toward the Senior Art Scholarship, awarded at graduation. Tuesday will be the close of the auction. Auction winners will be notified the following day. 

  • The Grades 5-12 Choral Concert will start at 7 p.m in the auditorium.   Program

  • The Honor Society bake sale will be from 3 to 5:30 p.m. in the cafeteria

  • The PTA Spring Book Fair will be open from 10 a.m to 2:30 p.m. and 5 to 7 p.m. in Room 143. Sales will be buy one, get one free that day.  

  • The Roscoe Blue Devils will take on the Livingston Manor Wildcats during the varsity baseball senior game at the Roscoe athletic field starting at 4:30 p.m. At about 4:15 p.m., seniors Alaniz Ruiz Gongora, Ben Ackerly, Jack Madera, Paul Coman, and Daniel 'Mac' Irwin will throw out the first pitch to their parents and present flowers to their family. 

  • Voters will also be offered the opportunity to take a survey regarding the proposed merger between Roscoe and Livingston Manor..

"We encourage all district residents to come out to vote and take the survey," Roscoe Superintendent John Evans said. "And while they are here, we hope residents will take time to support some of the exciting events taking place on campus."
