Dual Sporting Opportunities

Although dual sporting opportunities are not generally offered at Roscoe, there are certain situations where an exception may be made for those who meet certain academic and athletic standards.

Those who are afforded the opportunity will be closely monitored for their well-being as a student and an athlete. Students must:

  • maintain a grade point average of at least 2.5

  • regularly meet with the school athletic director while in season, as needed to discuss any concerns or issue regarding participating in two sports in one season

  • meet with the eligibility standards for both sports;

  • be vigilant in communicating with coaches in regards to any problems regarding injuries, grade-related concerns, and/or overstress.

  • strictly adhere to the set practice and game schedules with the knowledge that the student will be unable to participate in three consecutive days of events or games.

If at any time students feel as though they are either physically incapable of carrying out the expected duties of dual sporting or feel from an educational standpoint they are unable to perform to the best of their abilities, they will be given a waiver in regard to our policy on leaving a team during the season.
